Torrontes
Our Wines > Browse by grape variety > White grapes > Torrontes
A Viognier like grape from Argentina. Citrus, peach and exotic fruits on the nose. Appealing acidity on the palate. Great with Thais and spicy food.

Torrontes Fantasia 2009, Mauricio Lorca

£8.49 per bottle £101.88 per case
Soft, full and rich yet wonderfully fresh and delightfully aromatic without being blousy or overly perfumed.
Drink: Now until 2012
Drink with: Try pairing this with spicy foods and strong flavours like Toulouse sausages and smoked cheeses.

Torrontes Zohar 2009, Dominio del Plato

£9.99 per bottle £119.88 per case
TROPHY WINNER – Argentina Wine Awards 2010

Enticing, subtle aromas that are somewhat similar to Viognier, with hints of peach pit, white pear, flowers and orange citrus fruits. On the palate it has beautiful structure and acidity along with enticing fruit flavours. Plenty of body for a wine that shows such delicate flavours. Fruity, floral, and yet still quite dry; the ultimate partner for Thai cuisine.
Drink: Now until 2012
Drink with: Spicy food, smoked meats and cheeses.
